St Augustine Wedding Venues: Villa Blanca and Grand Ballroom

Mr. & Mrs. Simpkins

On a gorgeous February afternoon, Sara and Paul started their forever right here in St Augustine wedding venues. Surrounded by friends and family, this joyful pair filled the day with laughter and fun. From emotional First Looks, to big smiles at the ceremony, to impressive dance moves at night, the celebration proved that Paul and Sara are not only husband and wife, but truly best friends as well.

The afternoon began at the Bella Bay Inn, next to the White Room’s St Augustine wedding venues, like the Villa Blanca. Sara and her Bridal Party wore matching lavender robes with lace detailing as they excitedly got ready for the day. In a separate room, the Groom and Groomsmen enjoyed hand-cut cigars.

While getting ready, the Bride and Groom shared a sweet and emotional moment at a distance by reading letters they wrote for one another before First Looks.

Separately, the couple headed to the Lightner Museum to see each other for the First Time before the wedding. When they met on the bridge in the courtyard, Paul became sweetly teary-eyed at the sight of his beautiful bride.

After this special moment, the couple was joined by the Wedding Party to visit some of the best photo opportunity spots in town. They truly captured the essence of St Augustine with portraits at the Lightner Museum, the Fountain of Youth, and some final photos outside of our very own Villa Blanca.

As 3:00pm neared, the Villa Blanca was decorated with peach and pink florals by Jade Violet Wedding Floral. Out of all St Augustine wedding venues, the Villa truly delivers a sense of elegance and grace. The crystal chandeliers overhead and the fresh flowers combined created a stunning ceremony space. The couple’s 160 guests began to arrive, finding their seats within the rows of Chivari chairs and sharing excitement over the Bride and Groom.

The ceremony commenced, with gold-and-peach toned gowns and florals filling the aisle. As loved ones looked on, Sara and her father shared an emotional walk down the aisle. The ceremony was filled with sweet moments of laughter and joy as everyone celebrated Mr. and Mrs. Simpkins.

St Augustine Wedding Venues: The Grand Ballroom Reception

After the ceremony, the party moved to the Grand Ballroom for the reception. Tall floral centerpieces, champagne sequined specialty linen, and a sophisticated cake design created an elegant feel as guests arrived. Butler-passed hors d’oeuvres included baked brie, scallops wrapped in bacon, and chicken wellingtons. The guests were soon joined by the Wedding Party and Sara and Paul had their very first dance as a married couple.

After the first dance, everyone took to their seats as Sara’s dad delivered a touching and laughter-filled toast. Guests cheered to the happy couple and prepared for dinner. Dinner was a duo entree of Chicken Madeira and Pineapple Glazed Pork Tenderloin. The pan-sauteed herb-crusted chicken was finished with a mushroom and Madeira wine sauce, and the slow roasted pork tenderloin was topped with fresh pineapple rum reduction. Dinner concluded and Sara met her father on the dance floor for a Father-Daughter dance.
